Our RiverHawks Scholar Program student spotlight is Junior, Elizabeth Connick from Cache, Oklahoma. Elizabeth will graduate from the RiverHawks Scholar Program in May of 2026 and hopes to return to the Cache/Lawton area to work as a teacher’s aide, specifically assisting deaf students.
Elizabeth was timid when she first came to Northeastern State University but has grown so much in the past 2 years. She currently is involved in the ASL club, Delights Bible Study, and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She really enjoys hanging out with her mentors and going to get ice cream. When asked what her advice to future students is, Elizabeth says to be yourself, try new things, and get out of your comfort zone.
